  • The DHCP parameter detemines if the unit uses a DHCP server to get its ethernet parameters or uses a user set fixed address. If DHCP is on and failed, the default IP address will be used.
  • The fixed/static IP address is used if DHCP is off.
  • In both modes(DHCP or Fixed IP), the Dynamic IP address is the address currently in use.
  • HardyPort is the ethernet port number that one can use to connect to this instrument via UDP or TCP/IP. You send commands to the instrument to read or set parameters. The commands are text strings of the form
    PARAMETERNUMBER
    or
    PARAMETERNUMBER=PARAMETERVALUE
    For example, send the command 00006081 to read the gross weight value. The response will be something like
    Gross = 10.3
    To set a parameter, send a command like 00002887 = 0.5 - this command sets the Motion Tolerance parameter to 0.5
